about

This is the live, interactive soundtrack to the performance Apart From Me by H.Gene Thompson and Arvid Tomayko, in collaboration with Ru Emmons and Anna Azizzy. Performed at the New Hazlett Theater in 2018.

This piece was performed by 3 movement artists working with transforming, wearable fabric sculptures. Each performer wore motion sensors, and was tracked by a video camera during the performance, allowing them to play elements of the soundtrack through their motion. The music and sensor data input was guided and 'conducted' by a musical performer who also added live performed musical elements.
